Why must you agree to release us from all liability?
By participating in any photo tour with Craig Turnbull (llubnrut Pty Ltd), you are required to agree that you will not hold us responsible for any accident, theft, or negligence by us or any third parties. The nature of travel in photography tours organised locally in Australia and around the world means there are inherent risks. We take you to unique locations, off the beaten path, sometimes involving slippery paths, wet conditions, and various environmental factors beyond our control. While we take basic precautions, such as selecting safe drivers, unexpected incidents can occur.
Therefore, we recommend you...
Think of your trip as an 'expedition' rather than a 'tour',
embracing the adventurous spirit and acknowledging the risks involved.
Please read this Release and Waiver of Liability document carefully, ensuring that you understand that by engaging in our photography tours, we cannot be held liable for any unforeseen circumstances. While we have never experienced any accidents, the combination of outdoor activities, photography equipment, and diverse locations can present potential risks, especially considering varying weather conditions and off-the-beaten-path exploration.
We advise you to obtain adequate travel insurance for yourself and your gear. Additionally, it is essential to make necessary preparations, such as wearing appropriate non-slip hiking/walking shoes, carrying a first aid kit, using sunscreen and insect repellent, wearing a hat, securing your belongings with a money belt, choosing a secure camera bag, and any other items that promote safety during your photography tour.
Release and Waiver of Liability
I acknowledge that I have voluntarily consented to participate in a photography tour, and the other outdoor activities (the "Activities") guided or arranged by Craig Turnbull Photography or any respective billing or brand-owning company (llubnrut Pty Ltd) or local operators they hire or represent, herein known as "The Company."
I understand that the tour and all other hazards and exposures connected with related outdoor activities involve a risk of harm. I am aware of the risks inherent in the Activities and willingly assume the risk of injury, including but not limited to falls, slips, drowning, or injury from various sources. I agree that I am responsible for any bodily injury, death, or loss of personal property resulting from my negligence during the Activities. By participating in the Activities with The Company and any related parties, I confirm that I am fully capable of engaging in the tour, in good health without disabilities that might impede my participation, and competent in handling the challenges associated with the tour's activities and conditions.
